Hi and Assalamualaikum. Guess what is the meaning of the post title "Final Destination of Budu and Akok?". I believe that every story has their own ending. So, this is my last post for my topic which is Kelantan Cuisine.

Akok Flower

Assalamualaikum, In this post I will talk about another type of akok, which is akok bunga. Would you like to know the recipe akok bunga? And how come it is name akok bunga? It is because of their shape itself. This akok bunga has another name called as "Kuih Piana". Let's continue with the recipe, all you need is 5 eggs of grades A and 1 cup of coconut milk.

After that, the third thing you need is 1 cup of water and a cup of brown sugar.

Next, one pandan leaf and 1 teaspoon of salt.

Akok Corn.

Hi, In this post I will share about the recipe of akok jagung. Akok jagung is one of the types of akok as I have mentioned in the older post. For your information, the first thing that you need is a 400ml of coconut milk and 200ml of water.

After that, 10 eggs of grades B and 200gram brown sugar.

Usually in making food, the important thing you need is wheat flour. In this akok jagung recipe, you only need 100gram of wheat flour and also 130gram of cream corn.

Then, you have to put a teaspoon of salt and one teaspoon of vanilla extract. Next, put some of the yellow food colour

There's many types of Akok?!

Assalamualaikum, In this post I will share the types of akok that you can find in Kelantan. First and foremost, Akok Kedut. The word "Kedut" came from the shape of akok itself. As examples;

After that, another type of akok is akok jagung in kelantan which is there's some corn inside of akok. However, the taste of akok jagung is quite delicious and sweet.

Besides, there is another akok known as akok bunga or akok kemboja. This akok named akok kemboja because the shape itself and akok bunga taste like sweet and creamy.

When and where?

Assalamualaikum everyone, In this post I will talk about when we can get akok? Usually akok produce for daily sale. It is because akok easily spoil, there's one way to prevent akok from spoiling which is we must keep in cold and dry place. Besides, akok can be found  during fasting month, especially at night market or along the street side.

After that, akok has been produced in an oval shape and green in colour. As akok easily spoil, it has been produces only for commercial sale. In addition, most of the kelantanese republic only produce akok for itself as a daily food or retail sales based on orders from customers.

Scrumptious akok ever

Assalamualaikum, In this post I will let you guys know about how to make Akok in an easy and fast way. Okay, lets get started, first of all boil 100ml of water with brown sugar. After that, wait until water boiling and the brown sugar dissolve. 

In the making of akok

Next, beat all the five eggs into a blender and put the coconut milk together with wheat flour, pandan's leaves and two pinch of salt. In addition, put the dissolve brown sugar in the blender, then blend it until just blended.

 Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and preheat the mold that has been mixed with oil. Then, take out the mold from oven and fill the mixture. So, baked it about 10 minutes and this akok become blow up. After that, the akok will become smaller in size after baked. Finally, the akok is ready to be eaten.

The Hidden Secret of Akok

Assalamualaikum and hi. In this post I will talk about the ingredient of making Akok. First of all, the important thing you need is: 

1. 5 eggs.

2. 500ml of coconut milk

3. 100ml of water 

4. 150gram of brown sugar 

5. 30gram of wheat flour 

6. 3 pandan leaves.

and the last ingredient of Akok is 

7. Two pinch of salt.

Lastly, make sure all the ingredients are included in order to make a perfect and best Akok. In addition, it must be baked using moulds and on wooden stove, fuelled with a combination of coconut husks and coal.

Hi and Assalamualaikum everyone. In this post I will share another traditional cuisine food in Kelantan which is Akok. Akok is one of the most well-known food. 

Do you know how was Akok looks like and their taste? Actually Akok can be experienced by people from all walks of life compared to the olden days, where it was only eaten by the people in upper class. Besides, Akok became a favorite among Kelantan republic, it is because of the taste; sweet and creamy.

Hi, so today I will share about some of the famous brand of budu in Kelantan. All types of the budu brand is different because of the ingredient itself. The first one is, Budu Diraja Kelantan. 

The second famous brand of budu in kelantan is Budu Pati Ikan Bilis. Some of the kelantanese people will choose to buy this budu pati ikan bilis it is because the price is cheaper than others. This is example of Budu Pati Ikan Bilis  

Lastly, beside Budu Diraja and Pati Ikan Bilis. There is a new transformation of budu which is budu powder. Budu powder is easy to bring everywhere because of their packaging. The price of budu powder is quite reasonable.

The Right Way to Eat Budu

Hi, in this post I will share about the right ways to eat budu. Some of the people used to eat Budu with the fish stew. It is because when the fish itself taste tasteless and budu is the only thing that can complete stew fish from being tasteless. Below is the picture 

Besides, we also can eat budu with durian. It is because the taste of budu with durian is different. This is examples of budu with Durian. 

However, the second tips on how to eat budu, it also can eat with nasi kerabu. Budu such as main ingredient in Nasi Kerabu. One of the reasons why nasi kerabu is delicious, it is because of the budu.

Assalamualaikum and hi. Let's proceed with our topic. There is some weakness of the Budu.  Budu has a weakness because a fermented process. Besides, as you guys know the smell of the budu is too strong it is because of the anchovies. 

Some of the people used to hate the smell of the budu. After that, Budu contains high uric acid, which is not suggested to the people that have suffered from gout, diabetes, acne, chronic hair falls and breast cancer. 

After that, sometimes budu contains a lot of salt and it differentiate of budu according to different brands. Last but not least, there is nothing wrong if people who don't like budu because everyone have a different taste.

The Secret Behind The Taste of Budu

Assalamualaikum and hi everyone. In this post I will let you guys know what is the best way to make budu because I'm pretty sure that most of the people did not know how budu was made and only people in Kelantan know how to make it for sure.  However, you guys don't have to worry because i'm going to share the recipe of the budu. So, here is the best step to make budu:

1. 1 Kilogram of Anchovy

2. Coarse salt to taste

3. Brown Sugar

4. Tamarind Paste

First of all, you need to wash 1 kilogram of anchovy and dry it well . After that, divide salt into five parts and sprinkle the first part flat in the container and use former pottery or porcelain. Besides, mix anchovies with tamarind juice until it is smooth and divide into four parts.

 As you have done mix anchovies and tamarind, added brown sugar into it. Garnish the anchovies with the last layer of salt in the container and then sprinkle a layer of salt again. In addition, cover the surface of the container with gauze, then before you close the bottle, sprinkle the salt first to prevent from flies. Make sure you cover the container tightly. Lastly, keep the container in the dark place for at least 1 month and make sure the container not exposed to light or air it can cause the budu damaged.
